Review: Neill Blomkamp directed after A fantastic debut film District 9 is understandably wants his new sci-fi movie Elysium to see. Unfortunately, his second feature not always agree with the greatness that was the area 9.Visually film is quite stunning, and it has some great cinematography, when it comes to the bigger pictures. CGI effects are great and blends well with the environment. Land of the film looks very gritty, believable and lived-in and the space station, and he had this very sterile and futuristic look to it. You can certainly buy that Earth may seem like a lot of decades of neglect and poverty. Everything for abandoned and both refused. The rich, on the other hand, has all the resources available to them in their little paradise in space. Regulatory and production designers have really a great job with the place. Matt Damon is a decent film as hero Max, a former prisoner now working installation droids get a warrant, now overpopulated Earth. His role and his character writing is nothing special or memorable, but he does what he can with it. Hes just a no nonsense guy who is in a difficult situation thrown. It was also very sarcastic and funny, as it is linked to the first part of the film Droids but we do not have this side of him not to see that. Alice Braga plays MaXS playmate Frey, with whom Max meet again, when he was an adult. I do not feel much emotional connection or chemistry between them, despite the fact that the film somewhat. Their back story almost entirely sentimental flashback sequences, I do not care. The film was very one-sided and opponents over the top. Jodie Foster plays Elysian defense minister Sharlto Copley and Dela (who is also a District 9) plays a secret agent named Krueger, built on the ground. They are both very cliché? and uninteresting. In writing the characters were not very good in this film, and I I do not emotionally invest in any of them. The story is not so great, and then it also deprives Movie plenty of action sequences, because we do not have that great of their shares. The movie starts pretty strong, because it juxtaposes the earth, and over Elisa situation to draw attention to the social and economic inequalities. Suddenly, when the action begins, these issues disappeared in favor of more and more steps in the background. From the trailers and hype me I really feel that the film would deal with these issues thoughtful way. Unfortunately this is not the case with this film. The big problem with the film as well, none of the characters seem to learn something new, or their beliefs or anything like that to change. A large part of the success of District 9 was to see how the main character develops after a long time with strangers. Champs Elysees good guys are the good guys and the bad guys are the bad guys. There is no subtlety or nuance gravity in any of them. We did not get higher near leaders such as Minister of Defence and President Patel Dela other citizens to meet Elisha. It is interesting wouldve ordinary people to see Elisa and how they react to the situation, your beliefs and what drives them. Writing is a bit too bright and harsh. When it just made me think wow, really?. For example, at one point droid manufacturing company's CEO says only a mid-level manager and not in his direction breathe. Things seem too casual to happen plotting together to push. Then again, you can have a lot of films say, but you really start to pay attention to these things when you are not completely engrossed in the film. This movie wouldve really benefit from a more subtle approach. Order was easily my taste.The action in this movie is very intense and it looks very impressive at times. ... |
