Review: For newcomers to the TV series Veronica Mars - set in the fictional town of Neptune, California - followed Veronica, a high school student who helps his fellow class to solve the crime. The cases ranged from minor to major crimes like rape and murder. The face looks like another teen drama is really smart neo-noir worked on too many levels. Unfortunately, the show was canceled in 2007 after just three season consisting of 64 episodes were aired, potential follow-up movie was always on the horizon. However, after rejections from the studio, it was only last year that plans to become official movie, then Rob Thomas (creator of the show) along with Kristen Bell and the cast of the TV series appealed to fans to help finance the film. And help they did, target dollar amount $ 2M beaten in a short time. Donations reached an amazing $ 5M + and movie fans eager to finally become reality.A years after the Kickstarter campaign released the film and the question is, is it any good? The answer to this question is a resounding yes! The film is everything that fans can expect from Veronica Mars; Dialogues, interaction between Veronica and Keith, the main mystery and of course the love angle between Veronica and Logan. There are some inside joke found returning fans include references to events from the new original audience series.For however, I kind of got the feeling that the only way to truly enjoy this movie is to know in advance the characters and previous events as well. Though the basic plot is new, the interactions between the characters and the style of the film will be a better experience if you've seen the show. But that does not mean you wont like the movie as a stand alone event, then all creatures that guarantees that this film is accessible to new audiences who are familiar with the TV series, and you 'd be interested to know what people watched the movie and never thought of this series. At the end of the day, the film opens more questions than answers, but let off with a good note, which undoubtedly will be reprized in a future sequel. In the meantime there novels to look forward to, which was confirmed by Rob Thomas is canon.Veronica Mars is a film for fans - A long time ago we used to become friends, and even after 7 years, still recommended! |
