Review: Ive always been a fan of X-Men Animated Series as aired (OD never read any of the comics though ... ^ _ ^). So when I heard they were making a movie about them, I was counting the days until it is released. Maybe it affected how I saw the film, but I was a little disappointed. Director Brian Singer (Usual Suspects) did a good job with what he's got ... different characters, etc. The whole project seems a little safer, though, as if the producers wanted to ensure this does not flop makes a big production. It's a good film, but not a great one. Fans of the X-Men may be especially disappointed as their favorite characters include either Wolverine or Rogue. My personal Cyclops, but he has a small role. James Marsden, who played Cyclops, was a little on the tight side, but I forgive him because I like him as an actor. On this note, all players with excellent work, especially Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan, as the forces of good and evil. It has a humanistic side to a story I thought enrollment was dominated by Sci-Fi. If you have an X-Men fan, I would definitely recommend this movie - but you've probably already seen! What X-Men fan miss? If you are not a fan, maybe this movie could be a starting point for new obsession is ...: o) |
